The Pejavara Matta is one of the 8 mattas established by Shri Madhvacharya. In the holy Udupi Shri Krishna Temple, the seers of 8 mattas will get the right to TOUCH and WORSHIP the Idol of the Lord, once in 2 years by rotation, which is popularly known as "PARYAYA".  Shri Vishveshatheertha Shripaadangalavaru had the opportunity of completing 5 paryayas in his praiseworthy life.
